Polycarbonate (PC) Solid Sheet is a high-performance thermoplastic material manufactured through the extrusion molding of polycarbonate resin. It boasts exceptional impact resistance—200 times that of ordinary glass and 10 times that of tempered glass—along with excellent optical properties, offering up to 89% light transmittance, and remarkable thermal stability, supporting continuous service temperatures up to 135°C. With a density of only 1.2 g/cm³, it provides significant advantages in lightweight design.
Production demands strict control over extrusion processes, including raw material drying, precise temperature regulation, and co-extrusion of anti-UV coatings, all monitored by online inspection systems to ensure quality. Performance can be further enhanced through additives such as UV stabilizers and flame retardants, or via specialized surface treatments.
This material is widely used across various sectors, including construction (e.g., safety glazing, greenhouses, and skylights), industrial applications (e.g., machinery protective covers), as well as the semiconductor, automotive, and medical fields.
